You are a pirate, Describe your perfect day.

I wake up just as I knew the sun was rising over the calm waters of the Atlantic. I smile and sit up, the ship quiet and calm so far, but within the hour, it would be noisy and loud with the men that were currently sleeping in the crew's quarters.
Smirking as I get myself ready, my helper Julianne, though some would call her a slave, I am appalled by the term. Slaves are forced and have no say so in their situation and life, unlike Julianne. She was the closest thing to a sister I've ever had, getting up as I do, making our beds as I get my clothes on.
My dress was a dark blue, cut off short, a couple of inches above my knees so I could move about freely. I hated wearing the pants that the men wore. They either sagged on me, or were too tight. I then slip a brown leather sleeveless vest over the dress, lacing it up tightly to keep the sides of the dress from getting caught on anything, hooks, or anything else. I pull on some black leggings and brown knee high boots. strapping my pistol to my side, fully loaded and ready as always.
By this time, Julianne had gotten the coffee ready for me. I take my cup and thank her, letting my heavy boots echo down the wooden walkways of the ship. I bang a large frying pan on a wooden door and call for the cook in a stern voice.
"Up and at 'em! Today's a new day Pip! Make the most of it!" I shout, and I hear the old cook groan and mutter something. I shake my head and ignore him going to the crew's cabin, I bang the pan even louder. My thin scrawny hand wouldn't make a loud enough noise for them, so I knew this would. Sure enough, a few curses fly my way.
*I'll address that later* I think to myself, grabbing two pieces of jerky from our stash, I head up to the main deck to get the ship ready before the boys did so we would be already on our course.
I was one of the few women Pirate Captains on these high and dangerous seas, and one of the skinny and palest. Standing at only 5 ft and pale as my Irish mother, with a temper to match, I would be considered an easy target. But that was never the case. Never I tell you.

Run Wild

Based off of the song Run Wild by For King and Country

He sit in the cell, knees up to his chest, his chains clinking a little as he moves his arms. He sighs and lays his head on his knees.
Regret had visited him earlier. Made him remember that he had put himself in this cell. He thought it was fine, the door was open. But then one day, he came. And then he slammed the door shut while the boy was inside, he was beaten and told he could never ever leave.
His voice was taken from him, where he would usually use his words for his freedom, he was unable to speak. He was left voiceless, unable to voice his freedom. A tear falls from his eyes and he wipes it away.
He looks out the window of the cell and his eyes watch the stars twinkle outside. If only he could speak, he would be free. He bows his head.
I need help, please, I can’t stay here any longer. He prays, looking up to the sky again.
Suddenly, a burning sensation started in his throat, and then it clears. His eyes widen and he opens his mouth, a small noise comes out. He finally whispers- “Free.”
The doors of the cell open suddenly and he gasps in disbelief. But then he looks down at his shackles still binding him. He had grown used to them these past months, enjoying them almost. He sighs a little, feeling desperate.
While he looks down, they come off, cracking under the weight of something. He looks up and sees him. His Messiah, his Savior, with his hand outstretched to the chains, his power and love crushing them.
“Love.” he says simply, and vanishes. The man thinks for a moment. Standing slowly, he steps out the cell door and sees other people around, in different cells, a key hanging from each wall outside the door. He hears moans and groans, coughs and wheezing.
Love he thinks. Rushing to each door, he opening each one , and with the key outside each door, he frees each person. His love so strong, it breaks their chains.
“Run Wild!!”he shouts and runs out the doors of the prison. To live free, love strong, running wild.

You're having lunch with a friend. Your friend gets a call in the middle of the meal. Write just your friend's part of the conversation.

"Hello?" Amy says, just after seconds after hitting the accept symbol on her phone.
"Yes, this is she..." She continues, looking a tad annoyed but her voice doesn't tell it.
Suddenly her face changes to surprise.
"A story.... Main Street... right now??" she asks in disbelief.
She glances up at me, excitement written all over her face.
"Of course! I'll be there in 4 minutes!" she says and quickly ends the call. "Clair! There's something going on on Main Street right now, we have to go!!" she says to me, quickly getting out of her seat, grabbing her purse.
" Go! Ill get boxes and put out food in the car, I'll meet you there, its right next to this street, right?" I ask, waving the waiter over. She nods and rushes out of the restaurant.
I get the boxes and the food quickly packed up. I leave a fifty dollar bill on the table to pay for our food and a note of thanks and to keep the change as a tip.

The King shows up on your doorstep...... (Part 1)

My watch glowed blue in the dark night as I walked through the forest in my backyard and I grinned to myself- this was the night to ride.
I tapped the screen with my finger: one. two.

Things began to spin, faster and faster, too fast. I was traveling faster than I had ever before. I collapsed and landed on a dirt floor- chained to a wooden wall.
I glanced down, and saw that my hoodie and pants had changed into a dirty brown feedbag that was cut off short, right above my knees. My brown hair lay greasy and limp around my face as well. I did not like this. Not at all.

I pulled at the chains around both of my wrists, but they held tight. And my watch was gone. It must have dropped off somewhere. But where?
Just then a door opened and light poured into the windowless house, and a man stood in the doorway. He grinned a toothless grin and laughed. He looked like he was from the Medieval Era, a peasant, slop buckets in hand, a knife in the other.

Something was terribly wrong, my travels never started like this.

"You look like you've seen a ghost." he laughed and set the buckets down in front of me. They were full of dead fish. Stinking Dead Fish. I backed up into one of the corners and stared at the man, truly frightened. "You know better than to try to run." He started towards me but there was a knock at the door and a loud voice called from the other side, "Open up! In the name of the King!"
I started to scream but the man was beside me in seconds, pressing the knife against my throat. "You dare make a sound." He warned, hissing it in my face to where I could smell his disgusting breath.

The door busted open and guards that looked royal came in, swords ready. "Sire!" One called and the king stepped through the door. A young fellow, about my age, maybe eighteen or so. "Let her go!" he commanded, his face showing rage. "You can be killed now or later!"
My captor pressed the knife deeper to where I whimpered, leaning close to him. "I'll kill her first." He threatened. The king walked slowly towards us, unarmed.
"Sire!" one of the men warned, but he kept coming. Finally, he bent down to our level and looked him strait in the eyes and shook his head slowly. "Let. My. Sister. Go. Now." he said one word at a time.

I grew wide eyed and sucked in a breath. Sister?
This was just getting crazier by the second.

Epilogue for the story that includes a streetlight, a bear, and a kid with a jar of honey

Epilogue

It was a happy reunion for all eleven kids taken, including Caroline, Josh, and Jacob.

June was happily reconnected with her parents, after being gone a full year. She was, from then on, homeschooled, and graduated above average. After graduating, she studied to become a social worker.

Caroline and her brother Josh were already homeschooled, but even after this ordeal, they still went to their co-ops and sports practices (track and football) at their local high school, where Jacob went. Both of them also graduated above average, and Josh went to college to become a preacher.

Josh, Caroline, and Jacob became a trio of best friends, and spoke at different school functions about their experiences and child safety.

Jacob went back to the same school he’d attended previously, meeting after school with Caroline and Josh, to walk home together each day after their sports practices.  Jacob’s grades improved from his past history, and he graduated with honors. After graduating, he went to college to become a Lawyer. He also started to attend church with Caroline and Josh, and gave his life to the Lord. His mother and father soon followed.

Caroline became a track star on her team, but decided to continue track just as a simple hobby to keep her in shape. After she graduated, at age 18, she went to college and became a 1st Grade teacher at age 21. After two years of teaching, she married Jacob.

But of course, we cannot forget Howard.

After going through twenty different trials, he was given five life sentences, without parole.

But Caroline, Josh, and Jacob, and occasionally June, went to visit him in prison, showing the true act of forgiveness.

Write a story that includes a streetlight, a bear, and a kid with a jar of honey- PART 9

“That’s a lie.” Jacob said, gripping the knife tighter.

Suddenly, the door above us was uprooted from the ground and dirt showered down on all of us. Two sets of hands grabbed me under my arms and yanked me up and out of the hole. Jacob and Josh soon followed.

There were about 6 to 7 police cars sprinkled among the trees. Two were close, facing toward us; others were backed in, and we were pulled behind them. Mixed in with the police cars, there were two ambulances, a tank with the letters S-W-A-T on the side, and a crane with the prison door dangling from it. Shouts and screams were echoed from the opening as the SWAT team went down in a rush. But thankfully, no gunfire.

I felt the feeling come back into my neck and upper body. A few minutes later, I could also feel my legs and my feet. I looked around to see Josh and Jacob sat on either side of me. I grabbed them both and we all squeezed each other in a tight hug. Sobbing. “It’s over!” Jacob cried, hugging just me now.

The paramedics came over and I was told to sit at the first ambulance, while Josh and Jacob were led to the other. I got up on the stretcher and sighed. “It’s all over…” I thought, swinging my legs back and forth.

But it wasn’t.

A doctor came into the ambulance and quickly shut the doors. Howard. I screamed bloody murder, leaping off the stretcher. He locked the doors from the inside and I saw two police officers through the doors small windows run over, trying the doors.

Howard walked towards me, with a vial in hand. “Howard, don’t,” I begged, backing away. “Please don’t.”

“Oh Caroline,” he replied, walking towards me still, “You’ve ruined everything, all of my plans.”

I backed up against the wall of the ambulance and begged again, “Howard, I’m sorry, don’t do this.” He grabbed my arm and slung me to the ground, but before I went down, I grabbed his other hand and yanked the vial out of it, throwing it against the wall. As he bent over me, he pinned me to the floor with his knees so I couldn’t move my arms, which were on either side of me. The ambulance rocked and I glanced out the window to see dozens of police officers, trying to break the door open. I screamed as I looked back and saw Howard reaching in his pocket, pulling out another vial. Just then, Jacob was there, behind Howard. He leaped on his back and put his arms around his neck in a strangle hold. Howard got up, releasing me, and banged backwards, catching Jacob between himself and the hard metal wall. Jacob groaned, but didn’t loosen his grasp.

I got up and grabbed the vial out of Howard’s hand and shattered it, too, against the wall. I ran to the door and unlocked it, but came back. Grabbing Howard’s ankles from behind, I pulled, making him crash face first into the floor, at the officers’ feet.

“Thank you Lord,” I thought as they handcuffed him and dragged him away, “for sparing me and protecting Jacob.” I climbed out of the ambulance, with an officer’s help, and hugged myself, thinking anything could have happened.

I felt myself being lifted off the ground and spun in place. Jacob set me down and laughed, “And I thought I was saving you!”

I laughed with him and said, “You did, but, how did you get in there?”

“The window separating the back and the driver’s seat.”

I smiled and looked into the ambulance. Sure enough, there was the window, open.

Josh jogged over and asked if we were both alright. We both nodded and then I asked, “How did they find us?”

“They put a tracking chip in your skorts pocket,” he explained, and I reached into my pocket and pulled out a chip, paper-thin and the size of a fingernail.

“After you said Howard’s name, and reacted the way you did, Mom called the police department and they decided to track you. But they lost us after we went down into the hole; that’s why it took them so long to find us. If we hadn’t put you right next to it, they would have never found the entrance— it was covered with pine needles.”

I nodded, and looked over to see the Police Chief walking toward us, white as a ghost. “Jacob?” he asked, and Jacob turned his head.

“Dad!!!!” he yelled, and almost jumped on top of his dad. They hugged and looked as though they would never let go.

I smiled and turned to Josh, who was also smiling. “I want to talk to Howard. I have to know why he took all of us,” I said. He nodded, and we walked over to the police car he was in. The window was down half way, so we didn’t have to ask to speak with him.

“Why?” I asked him, as he looked at me, “Why did you take all of these kids?” I motioned at eight kids being escorted out of the hole. Howard let out a sarcastic laugh and answered, “They were all walking home from school alone, their parents didn’t think they were important enough.” He smirked at me and continued, “We showed them what their ignorance can cost them.”

“And Jacob?” I asked, glancing over at him, still clinging to his dad, “Why a Police Chief’s son?”

“He was like you, but on his way home from Basketball practice. Being that he was a Police Chief’s son was just an added bonus.”

Just then, a car pulled into the clearing and out jumped Mom, Dad, and our younger brother Levi.

“Mom!” I cried out.

“Dad!” Josh said after me.

We ran together, and clashed into a group hug, not letting go.

“In Everything, Give Thanks.”
